Mike is a vice president at the Sherman Group, a Minneapolis-based real estate development firm that specializes in renovating historic buildings downtown.

He has extensive experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, community outreach and consensus building.

Mike loves living in the city overlooking the beautiful Falls of St. Anthony and historic Mill Ruins Park. Mike is president of Riverwest Condominium Association where he presides over a $1.5 million annual budget.

Passionate about sports, Mike enjoys a challenging game of tennis or squash and constantly pushes himself to improve his personal bests in cycling and running. You will see him every day on the park trails.

His background gives Mike an expert understanding of the unique asset we have in our park system and what parks, recreation centers, trails and open spaces contribute to the intrinsic value of our neighborhoods, the city and our region as a whole.

He is running because he simply loves the parks and sees an opportunity to serve our community. He will work to sustain our trails and open spaces, support park programming, and secure the future of the park system.

Our prized park system is in jeopardy. Mike will provide the professionalism, responsible stewardship and innovative leadership we need to ensure the vitality of our parks, today and for future generations.
